STEPS also facilitates therapeutic social skills groups. The goal of STEPS Social Skills Group is to increase social skills, enhance communication skills, and to assist in identifying positive and socially acceptable outlets for self-stimulatory behaviors. Reciprocal interaction skills with peers will be a primary focus, as well as conversation skills, nonverbal communication, social engagement, awareness of social cues, joint attention, generalized responding, eye contact, emotion identification, tolerance and following group instruction.

Social Skills groups are offered throughout the year.
